Associate Professor Jascinth Lindo is a public health expert whose research focuses on maternal and fetal infant mortality, workplace health, nursing education and nursing practice. She has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and presented numerous abstracts at national and international conferences. As a RN in her native Jamaica, she realized the importance of taking a public health approach to nursing and knows firsthand the challenges Caribbean nurses face in conducting research. It fueled her passion to build nurse research capacity in the Caribbean, helping to strengthen the profession and the health of the community in the region. Over the last 15 years, she has presented and published numerous scholarly works in collaboration with nurses and leaders in the Caribbean. In 2021, Lindo earned a prestigious Fulbright Scholar Award to the Bahamas to build and strengthen nurse research skills and capacity.
