Institutional Accreditation

The University of Central Florida is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award degrees at the associate, baccalaureate, master’s, specialist and doctoral levels.


Nursing Accreditation

The baccalaureate degree in nursing, master’s degree in nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and advanced practice post-master’s certificates at the College of Nursing at University of Central Florida are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, D.C., 20001, (t: 202-887-6791).

The CCNE is officially recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a national accreditation agency. Prior to 2002, UCF nursing degree programs were accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).

The college is a member of the American Association of Colleges of Nursing and is approved by the Florida Board of Nursing.

Healthcare Simulation Accreditation

The Simulation, Technology, Innovation & Modeling (STIM) Center at the UCF College of Nursing has full accreditation in the area of Teaching/Education from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, which is the world’s largest healthcare simulation accrediting body.

The STIM Center at UCF’s College of Nursing is also among nine simulation programs worldwide — and the only one in Florida — to earn the new Healthcare Simulation Standards Endorsement from the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL).

INACSL Healthcare Simulation Endorsement
