The nursing faculty members are recipients of the highest honor in the profession and recognized for their impact in healthcare simulation.

Two faculty members at the UCF College of Nursing have received the distinguished honor of fellows of the prestigious American Academy of Nursing (FAAN).

Associate Professor Desiree Díaz and Clinical Associate Professor Laura Gonzalez, who are among only 50 certified advanced healthcare simulation educators in the world, were inducted at the Academy’s annual conference.

With their appointments, the college now boasts 12 faculty members who are esteemed fellows of the American Academy of Nursing — the highest honor for the nursing profession.
