Faculty

Jonathan W. Decker is an assistant clinical professor and the Family Nurse Practitioner graduate program director at the University of Central Florida College of Nursing. With nearly three decades of experience in clinical practice, nursing education, and research, Decker is dedicated to advancing health through evidence-based, interprofessional care. His clinical work spans diverse settings, including rural and underserved communities in Alaska, where he provides primary and urgent care. As an educator, he leads courses in pharmacology and health policy and mentors doctoral and undergraduate research. His scholarly work focuses on chronic disease prevention, health behavior change, and simulation-based education. Decker’s mission is to empower future healthcare professionals through collaborative learning and to improve patient outcomes by integrating research, education, and compassionate care.
