A Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Pediatric Mental Health Specialist, Valerie C. Martinez is passionate about pediatric healthcare. She leverages her extensive nursing experience working with neonates and children with chronic medical conditions in her research, which seeks to address mental health disparities among children and families, as well as improve health outcomes for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families. A DNP-prepared Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Martinez has experience providing evidence-based quality care in a variety of clinical settings, including pediatric pulmonology, general primary care pediatrics and school-based health. She is also a dedicated nurse educator, using her expertise to mentor future advance providers.
