Faculty

Lisa Linville has held administrative, legal and clinical roles in health care systems for more than 25 years and has taught in graduate nursing programs for more than 15 years. Her legal experience includes medical malpractice, health care law and ethics and healthcare regulatory law. Linville has been an active member of the American Bar Association and Louisiana Bar Association since 1994. She has also held healthcare leadership and clinical practice roles as a Vice President and Compliance Officer, Family Nurse Practitioner in Hospice and Palliative care, Home Health and Hospice Administrator, Risk Manager and Director of Nursing, as well as leadership roles in quality and performance improvement. Linville’s research focus is end-of-life care and ethics. Her educational philosophy supports a forum for advancing education and learning in an environment of service, integrity and social justice, which generates creativity, energy and excellence for both the student and faculty.
