Faculty

A broadly experienced clinician, researcher, educator and leader, Kristine Gauthier serves as a clinical professor and assistant dean for clinical affairs at UCF’s College of Nursing. She has previously served in similar roles at universities in Florida and Colorado. Prior to her academic career, Gauthier practiced for more than a decade as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Her clinical experience inspired her research, which focuses on the prevention of childhood obesity by promoting healthier lifestyles. In addition to her academic appointment, she serves as the director for the National Resource Center for Health and Safety in Child Care and Early Education, which has established and develops national health and safety standards for early child care and education settings.
