Alumna Joy Parchment is a veteran nurse executive, executive leadership coach and speaker, and assistant professor at the UCF College of Nursing. Parchment publishes in the areas of professional nursing practice and leadership science, including the nursing work environment, nurse manager role, and leadership competencies. The focus of her research targets belongingness, well-being and inclusivity in practice environments. Her greatest desire is to build the leadership competency of nurse leaders so they can cultivate empowering practice environments.
