A faculty member at the UCF College of Nursing for 14 years, Diane R. Andrews, PhD, RN, has retired as associate professor emerita.
Dr. Andrews’ research is focused on healthy work environments which support high quality patient outcomes and nurse satisfaction. Studies make use of both quantitative and qualitative methods to assess the transition experience of new graduate nurses; leadership practices; nurse experienced physical and psychological strain and evidence-based practices.
Interests
Nurse satisfaction and retention in the workplace, including environmental and worker analysis, with a special focus on transition of new nurses.
