Betty Myrick is a visiting instructor at UCF College of Nursing’s Daytona Beach campus with nationally recognized expertise in obstetric nursing and perinatal education. She has extensive clinical experience in labor and delivery and obstetric care, and is certified in inpatient obstetrics, inpatient antepartum nursing and electronic fetal monitoring. With a commitment to excellence in maternal‑child health, Myrick is dedicated to shaping the next generation of nurses through hands-on, evidence-based instruction. In addition to her role at UCF, she currently teaches Intermediate Fetal Monitoring for the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses, supporting clinicians in developing advanced competencies in perinatal assessment and safety. Myrick’s professional interests center on maternal health policy and advocacy, with a focus on improving outcomes and advancing equitable care for birthing individuals and families. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at the University of Central Florida.
