Angela Wheat is a lecturer at UCF’s College of Nursing Daytona campus. A healthcare professional with 15 years of experience, Wheat specializes in diabetes education, diabetes management and diabetes care management. She combines chronic care management expertise with healthcare navigation to assist in disease management, medication management and patient education in promotion of optimal healthcare outcomes. As an educator for seven years, Wheat combines didactic learning with practical lab, simulation and clinical experiences. She led the dedication education unit initiative between UCF and AdventHealth in New Smyrna Beach, and has a special interest in curriculum evaluation and development.
