Second Degree BSN Student Success Scholarship

Thanks to a generous gift from the William R. Kenan, Jr. Charitable Trust, UCF is able to award a $5,000 scholarship to 45 accelerated Second Degree BSN students per semester. 

Students starting the UCF Second Degree BSN program in Summer 2026 or Summer 2027 will have the opportunity to apply for the Second Degree BSN Student Success Scholarship each semester that they are fully enrolled in the program. 

Summer 2026 Scholarship Details

  • 45 scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $5,000 for Summer 2026.
  • All decisions for Summer 2026 scholarships will be made and communicated to applicants by March 27, 2026.
  •  Each subsequent semester, students can apply for $5,000 scholarships. These applications will open approximately two months before the semester starts.

Eligible Scholarship Candidates 

Instructions for Scholarship Application 

  • Apply to the Second Degree BSN program for Summer 2026 between Jan. 1-15, 2026
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by Jan. 15, 2026
  • Complete the Second Degree BSN Student Success Scholarship application in the A2O – UCF’s scholarship portal – between Feb. 1 – 11, 2026
  • Write a narrative essay following the instructions and prompts on the application 
  • Include a current resume 
  • Submit scholarship application and supporting documents in the A2O by Feb. 11, 2026
