Olajumoke (Jummy) Ojeleye is a nurse‑midwife, maternal and child health nurse scientist, and perinatal mental health professional, whose work spans clinical practice, academic scholarship, and community‑engaged research. Her research focuses on advancing maternal and perinatal mental health, with a particular emphasis on improving the experiences and outcomes of pregnant and parenting adolescents. Her scholarship reflects her advocacy for youth mental health, maternal well-being, and the elevation of diverse voices shaping the future of perinatal mental health care, and her work has been recognized by national and global organizations for its contribution to equitable, culturally grounded care.
During her doctoral studies, Dr. Ojeleye examined perinatal mental health literacy, needs, care preferences, and access to services among adolescent parents, generating insights that inform the development of innovative and sustainable interventions. She remains deeply committed to teaching, mentorship, and building the next generation of maternal and child health leaders.
