Student Success
UCF has prepared me to not only succeed in the classroom and beyond with clinical skills, but to connect and advocate for patients – how to be the kind of nurse that always puts the patient first.
Meet Jenna ’25BSN, Order of Pegasus Awardee
I chose UCF because it’s relatively local, it has an on-campus skills lab and is not solely online, it has professors who are active clinicians and nurse practitioners, and its graduates have a high pass rate on the board certification exams.

Connecting clinical experiences with policy discussions on Capitol Hill. Kathy, a BSN student, traveled to Washington, D.C., to participate in the @AACNursing Student Policy Summit.
"I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to advocate on behalf of nursing students and the future of our profession.
During my time on Capitol Hill, I had the privilege of meeting with Senate and House representatives and their staff to discuss key priorities impacting nursing education and the healthcare workforce.
It reinforced how vital it is for nurses to have a voice not only at the bedside but also in shaping healthcare policy."
Step inside simulations that are preparing students to provide care on @UCF_Health`s Mobile Health Clinic.
Students have been gaining hands-on experience on the mobile clinic, gathering patient history, assisting patients with mobility challenges, and counseling patients on diabetes management thanks to our simulated participants, or patient "actors".
Double the dedication. Double the impact.💛💛
A #SiblingsDay spotlight on twins Brooke and Willow in our #Classof2026 who both plan to pursue pediatrics after graduation. Brooke is interested in NICU or Labor and Delivery, and Willow is passionate about pediatric cardiology.
Growing up in a U.S. Air Force family, Brooke and Willow moved often and chose @ucf.edu after touring the campus and seeing all of the opportunities available.
One opportunity is @snaucforlando where Brooke is the Breakthrough to Nursing Director, inspiring younger generations to pursue a healthcare career, and Willow serves as the chapter Historian and student liaison to the @ucfalumni College of Nursing Chapter Board.
"It`s great going through college and the nursing program together because we`re each other`s best friend," says Willow.
"I know that I always have someone to talk to when I am having trouble understanding a concept or feeling stressed," adds Brooke.
The two aren`t the only ones earning the BSN title this summer. Their older sister will graduate at the same time from an accelerated nursing program across the country.
Happy #NationalSiblingsDay to all of our #KnightNurse siblings who support each another in reaching for the stars and shining bright in our communities! ✨
Educator. Researcher. Advocate. And now Fellow. ✨
Associate Professor Brian Peach has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Critical Care Medicine - the only nursing expert in Florida to receive the honor this year. Congratulations!
His contributions to critical care span nearly two decades, from the patient bedside as an ICU nurse and leader to the classroom to prepare future generations of nurses at @ucf.edu to research labs to advance care for PICS (post-intensive care syndrome) in critical illness survivors.
