Darcy Vetro Ravndal is a public health nurse practitioner with an extensive background in program development and education. She is deeply committed to advocating for quality, accessible healthcare for all children and adolescents. Ravndal served as the primary clinician at the Edgewater High School Student Health Center for 10 years and has been instrumental in developing School-Based Health Centers throughout Orange County Public Schools since 2009. She received her master’s degree in public health from the University of South Florida and was the Director of Education and Training at the USF Center for Biological Defense, developing and delivering training for first responders working with suspected agents of biological terrorism and infectious disease. She completed her nursing education at Johns Hopkins University, where she was selected as a fellow at the National Institutes of Health, working with adolescents and mental health. Ravndal is nationally accredited by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and is an active member of the American Public Health Association. She serves on the Board for the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida and is completing her PhD in Nursing Health Policy at Florida State University.
