Faculty

Lecturer Michele Butts joined the UCF College of Nursing in 2017. Prior to UCF, she served in numerous nursing education roles, including clinical nursing education, corporate nurse education and in academia. She is experienced in a range of teaching modalities including online, didactic, clinical setting, skills lab, and high-fidelity simulation. Her research interest is in the transition to practice for new RNs after completion of a nurse residency program. She is also an advocate of nurse mentoring programs that help to bridge the learning gap between nursing school and clinical practice.
