Faculty

Lecturer Dr. Michele Butts has been teaching nursing students full-time since earning her doctorate in 2016. She is experienced in a range of teaching modalities including online, didactic, clinical setting, skills lab, and high-fidelity simulation. Dr. Butts’ research interest is in the transition to practice for new RNs after completion of a nurse residency program. She is also an advocate of nurse mentoring programs that help to bridge the learning gap between nursing school and clinical practice.
