Lecturer Frances Iacobellis serves as site coordinator for UCF Cocoa. She spent her clinical career in pediatrics, where she worked as a nurse in pediatric emergency care and pediatric intensive care for nearly 30 years before transitioning to nurse education and training. As an educator, she has more than two decades of experience in healthcare organizations and higher education. Her research interest is in assisting new BSN graduates as they transition into their professional role as registered nurses. In addition to her faculty appointment at the UCF College of Nursing, the New York native also serves as a full board member of the New York State Board of Nursing. She also chairs the board’s Education Committee and is a panel member who participates and renders decisions in disciplinary hearings and issues related to nursing practice, education and moral character.
