Application Process

For Traditional BSN and Second Degree BSN Programs

Attend UCF Nursing Information and Advising Sessions

  • Prospective BSN students are encouraged to attend a Nursing Information and Advising Session
  • RSVPs are required for all campus locations

Acceptance to UCF 

  • Apply to UCF at least three months before the BSN application deadline
  • Make sure the application term matches the program start term (for example: the Traditional BSN program starts each Fall so the application should state Fall and the year you are applying to start the program)

Check all Transfer Courses

  • You may check your myKnight degree audit in your myUCF account to see how your courses have transferred. Newly admitted students for spring will have access to the audit by October and newly admitted students for summer or fall should have access to the audit by February of that same year. 
  • For students transferring credit from a private institution or any institution outside of the state of Florida, please follow the steps on our Transfer Courses page

Background Check 

Apply for Financial Assistance

  • Complete FAFSA and view process through UCF Office of Financial Assistance
    • If you have attempted 180+ undergraduate credit hours for your first bachelor's degree, you will need to petition for additional federal financial aid due to the SAP Policy.
    • If you have already earned one bachelor’s degree, the Office of Student Financial Assistance will review your eligibility for up to 70 credit hours toward a second bachelor’s degree. Any hours attempted past your first bachelor’s degree will count.
