Nursing Career Fair

Our annual Nursing Career Fair brings our May and August graduating BSN students together with potential employers from all over the state of Florida. Our Knight Nurses are in high demand from hospitals, the military and healthcare agencies here in Orlando and around the state. Get a start on your job search as you meet potential employers face-to-face and explore career opportunities with them. Students should dress professionally and bring a resume. The Career Fair is open to all senior BSN students including Traditional, Second-Degree, Dual Enrollment Concurrent ASN to BSN, RN to BSN and regional campus BSN programs.

Nursing Recognition Ceremony

The college celebrates the passage of undergraduate students into the nursing profession and honors graduate students for earning a master’s or doctoral degree. Undergraduate students are recognized with a nursing medallion, while graduate students are draped with a hood.

This very special ceremony is held at the end of each semester prior to commencement for all graduating nursing students. Fall 2018 graduates are invited to participate in the Spring 2019 Recognition Ceremony.

Orlando Health Nursing Lecture

The Orlando Health Nursing Lecture is hosted annually each fall by the UCF College of Nursing and is supported by the Orlando Health Endowed Fund. The event is attended by current and future nurse leaders and helps to fulfill nursing continuing education requirements by bringing national experts to UCF to address innovative topics in nursing and healthcare. Attendees earn continuing education contact hours for their participation.

Leadership in Practice Lecture Series

The college hosts two Leadership in Practice lectures per year (one in fall and one in spring). Florida Blue provides grant support to fund the series. National experts are invited to speak to students and the community about cutting-edge topics important for leadership in practice. Attendees earn continuing education contact hours for their participation.
