Carson Alan Swingle Helping Heart Endowed Scholarship

  • Applicant must be enrolled as a senior nursing student in the baccalaureate program in the College of Nursing.
  • Applicant must hold an overall GPA of 3.0.
  • Applicant must be considering a professional nursing career in pediatrics or pediatric critical care.
  • Applicant must submit an essay that addresses their career goals and interest in pediatric nursing.  Special consideration will be given to applicants with a sibling or parent with congenital heart disease.

Central Florida Kidney Center Scholarship

  • Applicant must be a full-time junior or senior baccalaureate student admitted to the College of Nursing.

Diane and Lawrence Wink Endowed Nursing Scholarship

  • Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in the Basic BSN program.
  • Applicant must hold a minimum 3.5 overall GPA in the nursing program.
  • In the four years prior to applying, the applicant must document 500 hours of employment or volunteer activities in a health care setting where direct patient contact was an integral part of the role.
  • Applicant must obtain and submit a letter of recommendation from a clinical instructor.

Dr. Mark G. Dogoli Endowed Scholarship

  • Applicant must hold an overall GPA of 3.0.
  • Applicant must be enrolled as a graduate student in the nurse practitioner program.
  • Applicant must submit a minimum 200-word essay describing their leadership record, reasons why they intend to dedicate their career to patient care and why they are deserving of this scholarship.
  • Applicant must demonstrate financial need.
  • Preference will be given to candidates from the Sarasota county, Florida area (permanent residence there or attended high school there).
  • Preference will be given to applicants with a demonstrated record of leadership.
